Dinkar Karumuri is Vice President of Corporate Strategy of Krasan Consulting Services, A technology firm based in the Chicago area and specializing in delivering innovative enterprise solutions to governments and businesses. Dinkar Karumuri has over 20 years of experience as a technologist, solution architect, and an implementation leader for both public and private sector clients. He has also provided business process re-engineering and worked with mid-level executives so that they can better manage their organizations. Specifically, Dinkar has expertise in delivering solutions in Enterprise Resource Planning, Business Intelligence, Enterprise Application Integration, and Enterprise Performance Management.
Dinkar prior to leading Krasan Consulting has been the CEO of various Solution Integrators and has been in the Board of various Startups, led implementations at a variety of organizations, including the Oracle Corporation, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, United Insurance, the American College of Surgeons, and various state and municipal agencies.
Dinkar’s business and civic activities include his founding of the Indo-American Technology Professionals Association (IATPA) and serving as a board member at AAAFGC (Asian-American Action Fund of Greater Chicago). He has worked closely with various ethnic groups within the United States to increase the collaboration of Indian Americans with other communities. He is also an active participant at the City Club of Chicago, the Chicago Public Schools, and the Government Finance Officers Association. He also set up a community-focused charity in the Chicago Community Trust. He is a founder of the Center for IT Talent Acceleration to reduce the STEM gap.
Dinkar is a PMP-certified Project Manager with a master’s degree from the University of Illinois, Chicago in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. His proudest academic achievement was his research thesis on the Modeling and Analysis of Virtual Reality Systems which was presented in the International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE98) in Kyoto, Japan.
In his spare time, Dinkar spends time playing and biking with his kids, and he enjoys cooking, playing golf, and travel.
